Mineral, VA – July 5th, 2022 – Today, Chairman of the Louisa. County Board of Supervisors and small business owner, Duane Adams (R-Mineral), announced that he has raised over $190,000 in the race for the new 10th Senate District. Since his announcement, Chairman Adams has put up consistently high fundraising totals, despite the election not being held until November of 2023.

Duane Adams said “I’m honored by the outpouring of support that we are seeing in this campaign. The continued flow of generous contributions from our supporters, despite the record high inflation putting a strain on everyone, shows that people are fired up to take back the Senate next year. Democrat policies are hamstringing us from D.C. and Democrat obstructionists in Richmond are fighting tooth and nail to stop Governor Youngkin from delivering the relief families in the 10th District need. People are supporting us, because they know my record of fighting for tax cuts and deregulation are the exact path forward to get our economy back on track, not reckless spending.”

The impressive fundraising numbers come on the tail of a major legislative success for Chairman Adams, where he spearheaded the initiative to stop the Louisa Library Board from unilaterally erasing our history by stripping James Madison and Thomas Jefferson’s names off the regional library.

Under the new maps, the 10th Senate District covers portions of Louisa County as well as Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, Hanover, Powhatan, and Prince Edward County.

Establishes Himself as Clear Frontrunner in GOP Nomination for New District 10

Today, Republican Louisa County Board of Supervisor member and small business owner Duane Adams announced he has raised $110,000 in the first 90 days of campaigning.

Adams said, “The support I’ve received from friends and family since I announced my intention to run for the State Senate is humbling and exciting.”

He continued, “Clearly Virginians are fed up with the way Democrats in D.C. and Richmond are trampling on parental rights, driving up the costs of everything we buy, and eroding our First and Second Amendment rights. I look forward to continuing to run for the people of this new 10th District.”

Under the maps finalized by the Supreme Court yesterday, the new State Senate District 10 covers portions of Louisa County as well as Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, Hanover, and Powhatan.

Dear Friends,

As we close out this year, I wanted you to be one of the first to know a very exciting decision I’ve made.

I am running for the Republican nomination for the newly formed State Senate District 10! This new district covers portions of Hanover, Louisa, and Prince Edward counties as well as all of Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, and Powhatan counties.

It’s been an honor to serve on the Louisa County Board of Supervisor. As a public servant, husband, father, and community leader, I’ve watched what’s gone on under Democrat one-party leadership in Richmond for two years. Governor-Elect Youngkin’s victory in November was historic and I want to go to Richmond to partner with him on getting Virginia back on track.

I’m proud to have never voted for a tax increase and I successfully led the effort to partner with Louisa County Public Schools and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office to put a School Resource Officer in every school in Louisa County.

I have significantly expanded broadband connectivity in the county and eliminated the Conceal Carry Permit Fee. I also organized the effort to make Louisa County a Second Amendment Sanctuary County and opposed government mandated closure of small businesses.

I look forward to getting to know the voters of this new district and sharing my plan for conservative leadership for our Commonwealth.
