Meet Duane
Republican Duane Adams is a husband, father, and small business owner serving his community as a Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Louisa County. He is a former executive of a major insurance company with 41 years of industry experience. He owns a watersports and adventures company with his wife, Susan. He’s been the State President of the Future Farmers of America, Board of Directors of the Weston State Farmers Market, and Chairman of the 56th Legislative District Republican Committee.
Duane is proud to have never voted for a tax increase on Louisa’s residents and he successfully led the effort to partner with the Louisa County Public School district and the Louisa County Sheriff Office to put a School Resource Officer in every school in Louisa County. He has also spearheaded the effort to bring county wide fiber internet access to all residents and businesses. Protecting our Second Amendment rights, he eliminated the Conceal Carry Permit Fee and organized the effort to make Louisa County and Second Amendment Sanctuary County. He also opposed government mandated closure of small businesses.
Duane supported an historic increase in Public Safety personnel; both Sheriff deputies and Firefighter/EMS staff. He steered the effort to increase compensation for Sheriff Department employees, addressing a decades-long lag in pay and pay compression issues.
Duane is running for the State Senate to help deliver President Trump’s America First Agenda, and stop the radical left’s attempts to take over Virginia. It’s time for common sense, Republican leadership for Louisa, Appomattox, Goochland, Amelia, Fluvanna, Hanover, Buckingham, Prince Edward, Powhatan, and Cumberland counties and Duane will be that leader.
Duane lives in Louisa with his wife Susan. He has two sons, Tyler and Dakota, two daughter-in-laws Chelsea and Giovanna, and a beautiful granddaughter, Raylin.
