Maintaining Louisa’s Rural Character

Like many of you, I decided to make Louisa County my home because of the beautiful scenery and charming rural character. On the Board of Supervisors, I’ve been a steadfast advocate for smart sustainable growth that strengthens our economy, while always maintaining the type of community that we choose to live in. I won’t let rampant developers run roughshod over our County, and will always put the needs of our residents first.

Second Amendment

The Second Amendment is absolute, and I have always been a steadfast advocate for our rights. I led the effort to designate Louisa County as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County and eliminated the Conceal Carry Permit Fee. On the Board I will continue to fight for our right to keep and bear arms.

Taxes

While the economy is beginning to pick up, many in our community are still struggling from the aftermaths of the lockdowns and Bidenflation. Property taxes put a strain on homeowners, and we need leaders who support responsible spending and fiscal conservatism to keep taxes as low as possible. On the Board of Supervisors I have never voted to raise taxes on Louisa County’s residents.

Law Enforcement

The Left has vilified our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day for our safety. I am 100% pro-police and will stand up to attempts to make their jobs harder by cutting funding or removing qualified immunity. I’ve supported our law enforcement, giving them historic pay increases and ensuring our children are safe by making sure there is an SRO in every school. I will continue to fight to keep Louisa County safe for all of its citizens.

Education

The woke leftist movement to push harmful curricula like Critical Race Theory onto our children is despicable. I’ve opposed such movements in Louisa and have fought to make sure our schools focus on teaching the things that matter: reading, writing, and arithmetic. My continued commitment to Career and Technical Education has never been stronger and I’m proud to have championed Louisa County’s new state of the art CTE Center. We owe it to the next generation of Virginians to teach our full history, based on facts, so that we can have an understanding of what makes our country the greatest in the history of the world.
